Oilfield Services Logistics Coordinator
POSITION REPORTS TO: Oilfield Services Manager
SCHEDULE: Day shift, Sunday-Wednesday 4:00am-2:30pm, must be able to work weekends and extended shifts if necessary, must have a flexible schedule
WAGES: Hourly. Commensurate with skills and experience
The Logistics Coordinator is someone who is able to grasp an overall logistical picture, understand all moving parts, and have the ability to coordinate the most efficient means of product deliveries. This includes accounting for all activities and verifying the invoicing for the services when possible.
- Review new service requests from customers or sales reps
- Verify approval from OFS Managers before starting coordination of all equipment and personnel needed on “Drop and Go” sites.
- Research delivery, paperwork and billing requirements
- Communicate with sales reps on items needed to meet the customer’s needs
- Verify and coordinate the delivery, pickup, or relocate of all equipment and personnel has been completed and correctly billed for
- Confer with customer to address questions, problems and request for service equipment
- Monitor and follow up on paperwork email correspondence
- Maintain and handle a group e-mail box and various spreadsheets (excel)
- Communicate effectively with multiple departments at the same time, Drivers, Management, and Customers
- Handle heavy volume of telephone calls with a professional demeanor
- Research to resolve paperwork issues
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
- Willingness to work in the office (Must be local, live within 60 miles)
- Minimum 1 year experience working in an office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook programs
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem solving and effective time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and take action proactively
- Ability to keep coworkers informed on daily activities
- Ability to maintain professionalism in highly stressful situations
- Flexibility to come in early or stay late when necessary
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced team environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must exhibit a stable past employment history
- Experience in the transportation industry
- Experience in the oil and gas industry
