TITLE: Inside Sales Manager
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Sales – Southern Region
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm. Some overtime and weekends may be required.
WAGES: Commensurate with skills and experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the activities and performance of the Inside Sales team
- Collaborate with Senior Management to establish and execute sales goals for the team
- Oversee the presentation and sales of company products and services to current and potential clients
- Prepare action plans, goals, expectations, and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
- Measure the performance of the team, identifying areas of improvement, and implement changes
- Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
- Assist the Inside Sales Team in the preparation of presentations and proposals and review for final approval prior to sending to clients
- Develop product and industry knowledge, and provide professional development to the team
- Cultivate sales strategies for acquiring new clients and building the sales pipeline within the team
- Oversee current client and potential client relationships
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
- Provide guidance on onboarding new clients
- Identify, resolve and provide solutions to client concerns
- Motivate the Inside Sales team to engage in the improvement of their performance on a regular basis
- Review and prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals in collaboration with the Senior Management Team
- Conduct performance evaluations monthly and annually
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees
- Participate in continual professional and educational training
- Other related duties as assigned by manager
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Must be local, willingness to work in office (live within 60 miles)
- 3+ years of experience effectively managing a high performing sales team
- Experience in utilizing Salesforce/CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing
- Motivated self-starter with a drive to succeed
- Proficient problem-solving skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs
- Ability to report on sales metrics and sales forecasts
- Ability to persuade and influence others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills, and be able to create, compose and edit written materials
- Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and a positive company image to the public
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to travel if needed
