TITLE: Warehouse Attendant

LOCATION: San Antonio

POSITION REPORTS TO: Terminal Manager

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Schedule TBD by hiring manager, Some overtime and weekends may be required

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience, position and location

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute loading and unloading operations
  • Inspect and verify products before storing in warehouse
  • Deliver, stock, fulfill, and count inventory
  • Keep work area neat and organized
  • Work with a team to ensure quality, delivery and timeliness of orders are met
  • Maintain and service company equipment
  • Operate forklift to handle products and warehouse materials
  • Operate pumps, motors and electrical devices
  • Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with established safety procedures and practices
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by manager

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must be local (live within 60 miles)
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment testing
  • Have at least 6 months warehouse experience
  • Courteous and professional demeanor
  • Be highly motivated to train and learn multiple facets of the warehouse operations including working with handheld scanners and electronic ordering systems
  • Ability to communicate in English well enough to perform the job duties
  • Ability to work productively without constant supervision
  • Stable employment history
  • Previous experience operating a forklift effectively
  • Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly
  • Ability to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk and reach above shoulder

PREFERRED

  • Experience with inventory control devices such as handheld scanners and electronic order systems
  • Experience with dehydration and filtering of oils and fuels
  • Experience working on pumps, motors, and filtering systems
