JOB TITLE: Sales Assistant

LOCATION: Grand Prairie, Texas

POSITION REPORTS TO: North Texas Sales Manager

WAGES: Commensurate with experience

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Some overtime and weekends will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Sales Manager with sales reports, customer calls, drafting quotes for all business segments, scheduling orders, and tank activities 
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and set up new customer accounts
  • Identify and resolve client concerns
  • Aide in coverage of Sales Representative calls
  • Process Fuel, Lubricant, and Tank orders as requested by Sales Representative or Customers
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
  • Obtain Purchase Orders
  • Assist in maintaining a schedule for completion of Delivery Compliance requests
  • Analyze tank reports for monthly completions requirements 
  • Attend sales training for retention and growth of product knowledge
  • Escalate customer concerns
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services
  • Maintain accurate and complete information daily in Salesforce and validate monthly reports for the manager 
  • Work directly with the Sales Manager daily as well as other related tasks and projects as assigned by manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • Locals only. Willingness to work in the office (live within 60 miles)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a basic understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Experience with client interactions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Enhanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong customer service skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task, manage time, organize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
