Frac Manager
JOB TITLE: Frac Manager
LOCATION: Austin, TX
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Oilfield Operations
SCHEDULE: Hours TBD. Some Nights, Overtime and weekends required
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with skills and experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead, direct and oversee all frac field operations in the assigned region
· Provide coordination in locating the job site, marking the locations of work tanks, and verify adequate room for equipment needed to do the proposed job design
· Manage all assigned frac employees including job performance, coaching and progressive discipline
· Interact with on-site customer contacts to ensure customer satisfaction, address concerns and opportunities for improvement
· Provide direction, training and on-going leadership to frac field employees. Trains and informs employees of procedures, changes in safety regulations, and work policies
· Conduct on-site audits on a regular basis to ensure compliance with all company and safety polices and customer requirements
· Demonstrate financial responsibility in conjunction with the Company’s travel and entertainment policy
· Ensure responsiveness from all staff with respect to various requests from the corporate office
· Review and approve employee time sheets
· Follow through on equipment maintenance and reporting
· Document and report all pertinent crew, equipment and job-related information
· Recruit and hire new employees
· Drive employee engagement and recognition
· Handle employee concerns, complaints and issues promptly and courteously
· Enforce DOT compliance
· Conduct safety meetings with frac associates
· Responsible for maintaining compliance with all local, state, federal, and OSHA regulations and requirements regarding safety practices
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
· Locals only (must live within 60 miles)
· Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
· Must have previous supervising experience
· Must be able to pass background screening including MVR and criminal
· 2+ years’ experience in Frac or Fuel Operations Management
· Experience with Microsoft Office programs, with high proficiency level in Outlook, Excel and Word
· Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel overnight when necessary
· Advanced level communicator to external and internal contacts, at all levels including senior management, customer contacts, and subordinate employees
· Ability to manage shifting priorities
· Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours
· Ability to get along with others and work well in a team environment
· Must be detail oriented, organized and self-motivated
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to provide employees with feedback, performance standards, clear instructions, and expectations
· Ensure employees have the tools and resources to do their job
· Coach and guide team members while assessing strengths and opportunities
· Ensure there is two-way communication with all team members
· Providing a positive and effective work environment
PREFERRED
· 3+ Years experience working in the frac industry
