REQUIREMENTS
Requires a minimum of 5 years generalist experience with a heavy emphasis on employee relations
Strong working knowledge of employment law and regulations including Title VII, DOL, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, PPACA, Section 125 and unemployment and labor relations
License(s): HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR, etc.) or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire date
Excellent negotiation and relational skills w/the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a consistent manner
Demonstrated ability and track record of managing complex and sensitive performance and employee relations issues
Ability to manage, counsel and resolve various and numerous issues/concerns on a daily basis
Strong problem solving, ethical, and analytical skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, with the ability to navigate sensitive issues tactfully and effectively
Ability to be objective, discreet, organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent writing, interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Ability to provide employees with feedback, performance standards, clear instructions, and expectations
Ensure employees have the tools and resources to do their job
Coach and guide team members while assessing strengths and opportunities
Ensure there is two-way communication with all team members
Provide a positive and effective work environment
