Job Objective: Responsible for overseeing a network of distribution centers and leading distribution center managers and operations teams to achieve optimal operational and financial performance. This role combines strategic direction with tactical execution to drive continuous improvement in efficiency, execution, and cost management. The position serves as a key advisor to distribution center leadership, providing guidance and support to enhance overall operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Champion a data driven approach to improve warehouse operations, inventory management, and overall distribution center operations thru streamlined workflows, automation, improved efficiency and reduced operational costs
· Ensure distribution center managers and operations teams are following standardized processes and best practices for warehouse and distribution center operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy, while ensuring environmental and associate safety
· Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (RVP, Sr. Regional Sales Director, RDBO, VP Order Fulfillment, Sr. Director of Supply Chain, Sr. Director Equipment & Facilities, and Sr. Directors Fuel & Non-Fuel Logistics) regularly to ensure alignment, assess district distribution centers’ performance versus metrics, and solution improvements as needed
· Create, track and improve KPIs measuring warehouse and distribution center operations efficiency, inventory management, delivery accuracy, and adherence to service-level agreements
· Oversee and ensure availability of distribution center managers and operations resources throughout emergency response events
· Management of distribution centers within district to established labor metrics
REQUIREMENTS
· Locals only must live within 60 miles
· 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in fuel and non-fuel distribution with a focus on operations and P&L management
· Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve shared goals
· Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
· Lead a team of distribution center managers and operations teams (drivers, warehouse, service techs, etc.) responsible for inventory receipt, integrity & reconciliation, and last mile delivery to fuel & non-fuel customers
· Regularly collaborate with sales to support organic growth initiatives and achieve local sales objectives
· Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for direct and indirect reports
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
